Description
Dunlewey, Gweedore, County Donegal, Ireland
No matter how many miles you travel across Ireland, this would be one of the most impressive views you could find. It is absolutely stunning any time of the year and to the bottom left you can see the old ruins of “Dunlewey Church” resting on the edge of the “Poison Glen“. Surprisingly there are actual ruins of a prehistoric Crannog (wooden fortification) laying under these waters on the bed of this lake dating back to the very first Irish settlers thousands of years ago. Very little is known on this settlement or it’s ancient people & their secrets still remain hidden with them under this lakes surface to this very day…..
It’s wonderful for me to travel here for photos but I only wish I could live here, so I could wake up each morning to be greeted with a view like this
