Description
Tory Island, County Donegal, Ireland
I recently sailed back to Tory Island on my annual wildlife trip to photograph my favourite little bird, the Atlantic Puffin Situated 9 miles offshore north Donegal, Tory Island or Toraigh is Irelandโs most remote inhabited islands. Due to this remote location and high sea cliffs, Tory makes a perfect habitat for this stunning colourful bird which only nests on very few islands along our coasts during the warmer seasons.
After combing the colony for a while I noticed this gathering of 5 little Puffins all business like, as if they were at a meeting or ceremony! It reminded me of a scene straight from The Lion King where they all gathered around Pride Rock to crown their new king.
Maybe they were rehearsing for their very own Broadway version called โThe Puffin Kingโ on Tory Rock throne ๐ฅ ๐
