To be completely honest, there’s not much I can tell you about this little isolated cottage on the hills other than my personal thoughts on it. As you know by now I admittedly have an attraction to old abandoned structures & isolation. After finding a forgotten gem I then try to factor in the surrounding nature into the desolation of my composition to bring out the hidden beauty. Vibrant sunset colours or colourful flowers etc normally work the best for me. There’s a high I get by simply finding these rural buildings & it intensifies at the thought of me being the first person to photograph or even set foot near them in years.
I showed this image to a mate & his verdict was that “it was too moody, too dark feeling & nice but in a strange kinda way”. I welcome any constructive criticism with open arms & fully agree that this photo has a “strange kind of beauty” This is the exact response I wanted to hear 
Sometimes I think, maybe I need to go to the pub or watch football or something? instead of roaming the countryside alone in search of abandonment beauty. But if I was watching football in a modern bar or sitting at home watching reality TV like the rest of the herd, then I would be totally miserable! 
So I’ve learned a new rule that I follow each time I grab my camera….. Do what you love doing as much as you can no matter how strange or weird it may seem to others
