As part of the Dartry Mountain range that include Gleniff Horseshoe & Benbulben Mountain, Benwiskin has its own unique look. The rest of this range is pretty much a flat topped plateau but Benwiskin is the odd ball because it is shaped like a giant breaking wave or a large horn!
Standing at 514 Meters I never truly realised how tall & impressive this mountain actually was until I was right up close to it. Benwiskin really does have such a unique shape compared to the average mountain. From the opposite side is as equally impressive with grass leading the whole way up to the peak & onto a sheer vertical drop as you can see in my photo
