Description
Ballinreavy Strand Dunes, Rosbeg, County Donegal, Ireland
Miles off any road with no signposts leading, extremely well hidden along Donegal’s Wild Atlantic Way lies this stunning area along Sheskinmore Bay.
Ive traveled to many obscure & hidden locations throughout Ireland, yet this strand has to be one of the most pristine & untouched by far! It has 100ft high sand dunes, Turquoise waters where I witnessed Seals playing & watching me, all along miles of sandy shore as far as the eye can see. I stayed here for over 2 hrs yet not once did I see another soul or hear the sound of any vehicles
Many people throughout the world seem to have this misconception, that Ireland is solely known for its beautiful “40 shades of green” but in fact Ireland has so much more! with versatile landscapes, ranging from green pastures, lakes, rivers, oceans shores, forests, rocky mountains sand dunes such as these that could only me matched in the Sahara desert!
Sometimes you just need to only look beyond those stunning “40 shades of green” to discover the rest of Ireland’s variable hidden beauty….
