Description
Binevenagh Mountain overlooking Benone & Downhill beach, Lough Foyle, Magilligan, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, UK
This is by far one of the most amazing locations ive ever visited. Binevenagh Mountain overlooks the entire Magilligan Peninsula, Lough Foyle and even Donegal in Ireland can be seen clearly. It is part of the 6 mile long Antrim Plateau and was created over 60 million years ago by molten lava from volcanic eruptions! An excellent site with great geological interest to scientists
To capture this image I literally had to stand inches from the very edge! I was honestly petrified standing hundreds of feet up and praying for there not to be any sudden freak gushes of wind! But im very pleased with my result as this was the only position I could have obtained this angle showing the scale and entire rock face of this amazing cliffscape
