Description
Foreland Heights, Brinlack, Gweedore, County Donegal, Ireland
I searched across the entire north coast of Donegal all day to capture an image that really shows what traditional Ireland is all about and just as I was going to give up this scene greeted me!
On all my travels across Donegal, I have yet to find hand stacked Dry stone walls as beautifully preserved as these. It takes my thoughts back to what life may have been like hundreds of years ago on these barren coastal shores. It would have been a very tough life I would imagine! But these walls are a true standing testament of time painstakingly built by generations now long gone.
