Description
Brinlack onlooking Foreland Heights, Gweedore, County Donegal, Ireland
Brinlack is an area I often return too many times per year. It holds one of the most beautiful view in all Ireland at this hilltop of Foreland Heights. These little cottages have been photographed many times from the top looking down, however I decided to travel down to the shoreline to capture this photo looking upward on them for a little perspective change.
I admire how natural & preserved Brinlack has remained through our “concrete era” of today. The little thatched roof cottage with its yellow door, hand stacked dry stone walls with ancient green moss baked into them & a few brown cows amongst it all to keep the bracken low (Can you spot the baby calve?) & Every inch of ground scattered by large boulders, exposed by the weathering storms of eons. I hope this area remains as it always has…. Unchanged Bloody Forelands
