Description
Classiebawn, Mullaghmore, County Sligo overlooking Slieve League Cliffs, Carrick, County Donegal, Ireland
This title may seem a little strange to those who know these areas, but I’ll explain. I normally capture photos of County Donegal or photos from County Sligo, however this time I’ve almost confused myself & captured one photo showing both County’s including 2 of each county’s main tourist attractions.
This photo was captured from County Sligo overlooking Classiebawn Castle in Mullaghmore. Separated by Donegal Bay which leads to the snowy Slieve League Cliffs in the extreme distance in County Donegal. What I found amazing is that when I measured the distance from where I was standing during capture to Slieve League & (as the crow flies) it’s exactly 22 miles away!
This is a single image file & not a composite, artificial background etc. It was created at 400mm by the ‘lens compression’ method I normally use. Basically, it means the further you zoom into a mid-range object, the larger & closer the background gets drawn forward. This makes everything in frame look much closer than it looks via the naked eye.
