Description
Errigal Mountain, Dunlewey, Gweedore, County Donegal, Ireland
Errigal is the tallest mountain in Donegal. A very iconic and symbolic mountain to the county and all its folk. As part of the “Seven Sisters” mountain chain which make up the Derryveagh mountain range, she is the absolute pride of Donegal. With bright white snow flowing down each side like a stunning gown, quite unlike any other mountain in Ireland… well other than her little sister Mackoght as seen on the left off course, also known as Little or Wee Errigal
In the distant right you can see the beautiful Poisoned Glen & Dunlewey Lough. These are some of the many reasons on why I love to visit this area so often. Errigal being the main attraction of course. Due to fresh snowfall and colourful skies reflecting down, ‘Lady Errigal’ was fair showing off that day. All dressed up in her snow white winter’s dress, she’s quite the stunner
