On all my travels across Donegal, I have yet to find hand stacked Dry stone walls as beautifully preserved as these. It takes my thoughts back to what life may have been like hundreds of years ago on these barren coastal shores. It would have been a very tough life I would imagine and if these walls could only talk id say there would be manys a story to tell!
These walls are a true standing testament of time that were obviously painstakingly built by generations now long gone. I take my hat off to those hard working folk & your efforts have not gone unnoticed… Bloody Forelands
