Description
This stunning area is known as Sheephaven Bay. A thin meandering road hugs this shoreline for miles before leading over the river Lackagh by this old stone bridge constructed in 1755. Interestingly built by one of my own ancestors William Wray & Thomas Smith of Creeslough.
In the backdrop can be seen Errigal and Muckish Mountains and if you look carefully to the right on the opposite end of the bay, you can see the amazing stronghold Doe Castle. So much history can be found along the picturesque Sheephaven Bay
