Description
Glenlough Bay, Slievetooey Massif, County Donegal, Ireland
Glenlough Bay is a storm shingle beach hidden along the remote coastline of west Donegal. Located off-grid almost 3km from An Port, this gem is totally inaccessible by car or path. To reach it you must hike across some very steep ocean cliffs and ridges for a couple of hours. It’s officially Ireland’s most wild and remote location.
These giant sea stacks have gained this area the nickname ‘The Land of the Giants’ due to their gigantic presence standing in row guarding this beach from the all powerful Atlantic waves! The giant rock stack at the very end is called Tormor Island, standing at 148 meters it’s the largest sea stack in Ireland ????
