Description
Ballyness Bay, Falcarragh, County Donegal, Ireland
Ballyness Bay overlooks many islands & strands along Donegal’s north-western shore. Magheroarty can be seen to the left with islands Inishboffin, Inishdooey & Tory in the distance. Ireland has many stunning roads & viewpoints but there’s something very special about Ballyness that strikes excitement in me during every visit
Ballyness is an area of outstanding natural beauty created by rivers leading out to sea. This estuary holds some of the strongest turquoise coloured waters found throughout Ireland. Water as clear as glass due to the purity of freshwater rivers which filter down through mountains into this bay daily.
