Mt Errigal is the tallest mountain in County Donegal. She is very iconic and symbolic to the county & all its people. Errigal was voted ‘Ireland’s Most Iconic Mountain’ by “Walking & Hiking Ireland” and anyone who has seen Errigal especially in certain light will understand why… as she’s absolutely gorgeous! You can see an old path worn into the mountainside by the sheer number of hikers that climb Mount Errigal every day of the year. Regardless of weather conditions such as rain, hail wind or snow…. there will always be someone hiking on Top Of Mount Errigal as we all have a hidden love for her
I have been visiting this area as long as I can remember. My parents used to take me as a child & nowadays I visit here with my own child. Each time I arrive here this mountain, lake & valley seems to look entirely different depending on the time of day or the season. I will never tire of Dunlewey….
