This small Castle on the shore of this beautiful lake is set in ‘Oakfield Park’. Privately owned but open to the public it is all set in 100 acres of parkland, woodland and gardens near the town of Raphoe in the heart of County Donegal. This place even has its own railway train to take you around the magnificent lake gardens.
When approaching this lake that night I could hardly believe my eyes! The water was as still as glass with a perfect reflection of the magnificent full moon & crystal clear starry sky. It truly was like a scene from a fairytale book. One of those moments that just stays with you always….
