‘On Ireland’s North Edge’

I’m afraid I don’t know much about this little traditional thatched cottage other than it is one of the furthest buildings north in all Ireland. This is due to its placement on Malin Head which is Ireland’s most northerly point. Nowadays it’s a stunning B&B so praise to the current owner ?

This little cottage is placed very close to the shore and on stormy days the waves rise from behind much higher than the actual house itself. Just imagine what it must sound like from inside this cottage during a storm! Sitting by a crackling turf fireside listening to the sound of waves crashing off the nearby coastal rocks alongside the rain belting off the roof & window panes I would give anything just to experience a night like that…
