Port (An Port) County Donegal, Ireland
Captured during my return descent from a nearby cliff hike along Donegal’s Wild Atlantic Way near Glenlough Bay. The sky suddenly & unexpectedly started to colour amber in front of me just as I was approaching the end of my hike. I have seen many glorious sunsets in my time but this seems to be one of the most memorable. I remember the red/amber tones of light just reflecting off the ocean’s surface and even off the surrounding rock formations and cliffs, The cool breeze that carried that sea smell & there was not a single person around for at least 10 miles!
Of course it’s not the most glorious sunset captured but its how I sensed my surroundings that evening that will keep it so memorable to me, hopefully forever…
