Description
Rosguill Peninsula, Melmore, Downings, County Donegal, Ireland
Three of my favourite beaches are captured in this wintery sunset image. Firstly, you can see the stunning Boyeeghter Bay or as most know it as “The Murder Hole Beach” in the foreground. Behind the shadowing hill of Gortnalughoge can be seen Tra na Rossan Beach and if your eyes are sharp then you may just see Tramore Beach in the extreme distance on Sheephaven Bay with Muckish Mountain.
For years I have been trying to capture a pretty photo of snow laying on a beach. It may seem simple enough however, each time I arrived at any beaches the sand had already melted the snow away fast. So a few days ago, I again geared up in my 4×4 and headed far north once again in hope On arrival I couldn’t believe my luck! Finally, there was indeed snow laying on my favourite beaches and carpeted across the surrounding landscape. I’ve never been as grateful towards nature as I was when capturing this scene
