Description
Strabane, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland
Last night and well into the small hours of this morning the Northern Lights put on a massive display over Ireland! So as always, I geared up hours before and headed out. I spent ages planning scenic locations then driving around as capturing them somewhere unique is always the aim.
However after a lot of deep thought, I instead decided to attempt a photo of this Aurora in an unlikely place which has been on my mind for years now, my local cemetery.
My grandfather Hugh Wray rests here and I often visit his grave over the past 6 years. Many nights I have been visiting during Aurora alerts in attempt to capture the northern lights by his graveside. I certainly got a unique photo to remember this night and I hope my grandfather enjoys my small tribute to him ????
