Description
Malin, Inishowen, County Donegal, Ireland
Marking the northern entrance to Trawbreaga Bay “Five Finger Strand” is located a mile or two north of Malin Town close to Malin Head onInishowen. The strand takes its name from the five sea-stacks that can be seen, particularly at low tide, at the northern end of the beach.
The sand dunes at the back of the beach (left on my photo) are the largest of their type in Europe. The wreck of the “Twilight”, which sank in 1889 can also be seen here when the water is low.
