Description
Last night’s full moon (26th May 2021) was called the ‘Flower Supermoon’ It was the largest full moon of the entire year at 100% full totality. The moon was 40.000km closer to earth than usual making it 10% larger & 20% brighter to the naked eye.
During ancient times it was common to track the changing seasons by following the lunar month rather than the solar year, this is where the 12 months in our modern calendar are based on.
