Description
Errigal Mountain, County Donegal, Ireland
Whilst standing here on this icy cold winter’s eve barely feeling my fingers with wind chill, I questioned my own mind “what am I doing on this road? maybe I should have taken the first left a mile back?” Countless other doubts on my location crossed my mind that day. But I remembered someone once telling me a phrase “If you don’t know where you are going, then it does not matter which road you take?”. I quickly associated this scene with those wise words.
This “bearded road” continues for miles & miles through a wet boggy marshland across one of Ireland’s most rural areas. However! It suddenly branches off onto an old stoney irrelevant looking path. If you choose to follow this path, you will gradually reach the summit of ‘Errigal Mountain’ one of Ireland’s most Iconic mountains! Remember that all roads lead to somewhere beautiful. It’s up to you to travel there, either in person or simply just through your thoughts…..
