Ever since first visiting this stunning townland of ‘Magheragallan’ to catch the ferry to Gola Island a few years ago, I’ve been planning a return to capture a sunset here. I wasn’t alone on my sunset chasing quest as there were many other cars & walkers sitting patiently in wait, gazing out to sea at this wonderful display from nature.
You can see the ferry harbour next to the beach. The islands from left to right are Gola, Umfin, Inishmeane & Inishsirrer. When the sky goes on fire, there’s no better place to view it than Gweedore bay
