Magheraclogher Strand, Bunbeg, Gweedore, County Donegal, Ireland
Today’s photo has left me in deep thought again ? but please bear with me & I will try to explain my muddled mind ? Various times in the past myself & many others have mentioned how small we all are in our vast dark universe. I still agree 100% that our planet is a mere grain of sand in a beach that runs for infinity. However, small certainly does not mean insignificant!
No matter how tiny we seem or how far away the stars are in our vast/lonely universe, they still shine their bright lights over us each night. Some will believe its my fancy camera or that I’m just wrong because they themselves have never seen starlight reflect like this before, but I ask you… Have you ever gone outside in total darkness looking for it before reading this post? It’s one of those natural wonders you normally overlook due to always being surrounded by artificial lights.
I apologise if I’m rambling what seems like nonsense but it’s difficult to put into words what I felt whilst standing under this starlight that night. I believe if we are important enough to be bathed in starlight from every conceivable angle in our universe, light which travelled billions of years just to reach us & arrives so strong that it reflects off you, me & everything else on earth, then we must all be very significantly important in the overall grand scheme of things ?
