Description
Mulroy Bay, Milford, County Donegal, Ireland
This charming old red wooden fishing vessel is lovingly named ‘Sabrina’ after it’s captains’ wife. Sabrina had served many hard-earned years at sea & nowadays is peacefully docked on the shore of ‘Mulroy Bay’. She is now fully retired from all fishing duties, sadly getting slowly worn away by wind, rain & waves ?
I adore these old abandoned ships as they bear their wear & tear marks from all the hard work throughout their life, just like we will also later in life. I’m sure every chip, scrape & missing chunk of wood has a little story on how it happened. I wish I could talk to the fishermen who once sailed in her to hear their tales. I bet they could tell many a fond story of their many days out at sea on the Sabrina boat…. ⚓️
