Northern Lights Aurora over Strabane, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland
I’ve always had a desire to capture the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) from my home town or even nearby. Normally we are too far south and light pollution etc would make it impossible, but this was not the issue this one night! I knew the solar winds were striking so I took a chance and drove up high on a nearby mountain side and captured the Aurora over this wind turbine close to my hometown. I’m still in awe on how vibrant they were this night, i’ve never seen them so clear or vibrant ever before.
It was such an amazing experience to stand here that night and marvel at nature’s greatest show. I appreciate it so much as unfortunately a lot of people don’t get that opportunity 🙁 but for those who are unable, here is what it looked like…..
