“Nature’s Domino Effect”

When capturing photos I love observing and sensing all the little details of my surroundings. What I enjoy as much as the actual scenery itself, is watching closely how both people and animals act within these natural environments.

This photo is a prime example of when both environmental and psychological elements blend seamlessly together thus creating a “Domino Effect” to many onlookers, but you need to look a little closer into this photograph to understand exactly what I’m talking about… I apologise in advance if I stir your mind up a little trying to word this correctly but I’ll try my best to explain it as straightforward as I observed it during the time of capture, so here we go……

This was a stunning sunset which attracted many visitors including myself to this beach to watch and enjoy in all its glory. If you look on the beach near the shoreline you will see two men sitting on chairs enjoying their sunset together.

However, behind them up on the sand dunes edge you can see two ladies also sitting on deck chairs enjoying this sunset together and those men on chairs in front of them are now part of their very own sunset scene and memory.

Behind the two ladies on chairs there is a girl who has noticed that those ladies on the dunes made her own sunset view so much more interesting that she is actually taking a photo of her own scene with her phone to potentially share the beauty she’s observed with others.

Now behind this girl capturing her photo is another person who has noticed that the girl in front of him capturing the photo was making their own sunset scene look more interesting, so he also used his phone to capture a photo of her as part of his own sunset photo.

Then finally behind all these people observing this magnificent sunset was me! Who as you can see was capturing this scene to share with you all to show how sometimes unknowingly even to yourself, your very own personal enjoyment and placement in nature can also add to an onlookers enjoyment and appreciation of their surroundings, in result spreading happiness

Each of these people may not have known that they were part of someone else’s enjoyment and appreciation of nature that eve. I do have to wonder though if I had turned around myself at this exact time, was I also being observed and now possibly part of someone else’s photo and memory of this glorious sunset that evening on Trá na Rossan Beach…….
