Maghery Beach, Dungloe, County Donegal, Ireland
During last summer I briefly stopped at this stunning beach in Maghery. In the extreme distance I noticed a girl galloping her horse along this turquoise coloured shore, totally lost in her magical moment. This would not normally be a style of photo I would aim to capture, although I thought that this moment in front of me was too beautiful to miss so I reached for my telephoto zoom lens. Zooming in as close as I possibly could I aligned my frame to show only the ocean & sandy shore then waited a moment for this stunning horse & rider to gallop straight into my photo.
This is my image of her magical moment from that day. Sadly some folk don’t use their cameras enough but I believe that the only way to keep a moment truly eternal is to photograph it “It’s too late when the moment has passed….”
