“Awaiting Irish Snowfall”
Carrickfinn, Gweedore, County Donegal, Ireland
Errigal is the tallest mountain in County Donegal. A very iconic and symbolic mountain to the county & all its folk. She is the absolute pride of Donegal with bright silver coloured rock flowing down each side like a stunning gown, quite unlike any other mountain in Ireland. On this day last winter “Miss Errigal” was showing off again, all dressed up in her snow white dress ??♀️
Like many folk across our lands, I have been anxiously awaiting this year’s snowfall so that I may capture newly planned winter scenes to bring to you all. I’ve even bought a 4×4 and prepared it with snow tyres, roof racks etc for the sole purpose of reaching otherwise inaccessible locations in heavy snow. However! as prepared as I am right now there is one small problem…. There is no snow & it’s warm here in Donegal! So you will have to hang in a little longer & say a prayer we get our snow for Christmas here in Ireland ?
