Onlooking Glenlough Bay Stacks & Sturral Ridge, Glencolmcille, County Donegal, Ireland
To be honest there not much to explain on my reasons for capturing this moody scene. After arriving late for a vibrant sunset, I was determined on returning home with a photo for my efforts. Scanning my eyes across the vast Atlantic in hope of an interesting composition, I noticed some stunning golden light strike some cliffs & sea stacks on the horizon. Surprisingly these cliffs (Sturral Ridge & watch tower) are 17 miles away from where I was standing during this capture.
The sunset’s vibrant colours illuminated a very dusky stormy sky, casting just enough light to make this rocky coastline cast a pleasing silhouette. Everything just seemed so calm, natural & moody considering there was a heavy storm quickly approaching and I was looking straight into it! Zooming my lens in closely…. I captured a simple moment in time
