Description
Oakfield Park, Raphoe, County Donegal, Ireland
Ive realised that Autumn has almost passed, yet I hadn’t captured many autumnal scenes to share with you. I knew ‘Oakfield Park’ would have the stunning colours that shows “Autumn’s touch” ? I recently captured this photo just in time before our trees shed the last of their golden toned leaves to make way for winter.
This small Castle & beautiful lake is set in an eighteenth-century Georgian Deanery which is privately owned but also open to the public. Maintained to perfection this 100 acres of parkland, woodland & gardens can be found on the outskirt of the historic town (ancient city) of Raphoe. Oakfield Park even has its own operating railway train to take you around this magnificent lake & its expansive gardens. ?
