Description
Sperrin Mountains, Strabane, Tyrone, Northern Ireland
For all my life ive been listening to my Grandparents and many others recite that old phrase “back in my day” followed by “we had no electricity” or “we walked 5 miles to school up to our knees in snow” but when im up in these high hills in weather conditions like these it makes me think, that all those old wives tales certainly have some truth behind them. It must have been tough during times like these especially during winter
But maybe its just me and my weird ways but id honestly chose to stay a few nights in an old cottage like this over any 5 star hotel any day… considering there is a warm fire lit of course lol
This scene was captured recently in the Sperrin mountains that surround my home town of Strabane. It is a stunning area to capture at any time of the year but the snow just makes this place so beautiful to visit. It has only snowed here a few mornings this year so i’m glad I made the effort to get a few shots before it all melted away
