Description
Lagg, Malin, Inishowen, Donegal, Ireland
Marking the northern entrance to Trawbreaga Bay “Five Finger Strand” is located a mile or two north of Malin Town close to Malin Head on Inishowen. The strand takes its name from the five sea-stacks that can be seen, particularly at low tide, at the northern end of the beach.
The sand dunes seen here are the largest of their type in Europe. The wreck of the cargo ship “Twilight” which sank in 1889 can also be seen here when the water is low during a spring tide. By far one of the most amazing viewpoints in Ireland especially during soft morning or evening light
