Iceland? Canada? No this was captured right here in Ireland over the stunning area of Glentornan on the shore of Dunlewey Lough. This view overlooks the iconic Mt Errigal & this small football field belonging to Dunlewey Celtic FC. As football fields go this must be the most picturesque pitches I’ve yet seen. Just imagine how patriotic these players must feel when playing home matches under Mt Errigal’s watchful eye on some of Donegal & Ireland’s most beautiful scenery. I’m sure those players don’t even think about the cold weather when they are running across this pitch under a scene such as this!
Mt Errigal is the tallest mountain in County Donegal. She is the absolute pride of Donegal. A very iconic and symbolic mountain to the county & all its folk. With bright silver coloured rock flowing down each side like a stunning gown, she is quite unlike any other mountain in all Ireland. Today “Miss Errigal” is showing off again all dressed up in her white dress
