Description
Glencar, County Leitrim/Sligo, Ireland
A view from Glencar Valley overlooking the Dartry Mountains on the right, Rosses Point in the distance & Knocknarea Hill with ‘Queen Maeve’s grave/cairn’ on top as you can see on distant left.
During a trip to this stunning area near ‘Glencar Lough’ the light was acting up terribly over the one area I travelled to capture! It was appearing then disappearing so fast like oncoming waves, making it almost impossible to capture my visioned scene ? In defeat I turned the camera around 180 degrees to be suddenly amazed by this stunning cloudscape which filtered the suns amber rays gently onto these green rolling fields & hills.
Through photography I’ve discovered that sometimes what you seek is not always in front of you no matter how hard you aim for it, most times even greater things than you expected are right behind you! It’s only a matter of turning around now & then ?
