Description
Ardara – Glencolmcille, County Donegal, Ireland
From Glencolumbkille a road heads inland towards Ardara Town, through the wild and picturesque Glengesh Pass where the road meanders through sloping mountainous terrain. Glengesh pass (Glen of the Swans) is one of two glaciated valleys that sculpture the northern edge of the Banagh peninsula. The glen carries the road between Ardara and Carrick over Glengesh Pass via a couple of hairpin bends exquisitely framed between the steep sided Glengesh and Mulmosog mountains.
This was voted one of the most scenic drives in all Ireland & I need not explain any further as this photo says it all
