Description
Ballymagorry – Strabane, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland
For ages I’ve passed this particular lush green field, packed with Dairy Cows & had it in my mind for a future capture. Yesterday evening I set out as the conditions I required for this scene were looking right. I patiently waited in the tall grass until the sun just started to set behind the distant hill, thus allowing these long sun rays to shoot out & over top of all these peaceful grazing Cows. Casting the warmest Summer tones of amber & gold I’ve seen in a long time.
If you look in between the sun rays you will see what may look like little fairies or snowflakes but these are in fact millions of midges flies! At first I thought these would ruin my image but they actually reflected the sun light and gave the scene a more magical look. So other than me being half eaten by them, they may have finally helped out for once!
