Description
Keadue Lower Bay Beach, The Rosses, Burtonport, County Donegal, Ireland
Keadue Lower Bay Beach also known locally as “The Blockyard” is a stunning sandy horseshoe coved beach located on Donegal’s west coast. Overlooking in the distance, can be seen Arranmore Island. At 18 square km in size, Arranmore is the largest Island in Donegal and the second largest inhabited island in all of Ireland.
I once camped overnight right on this beach and awoke the following morning to possibly the fieriest red sky imaginable. If only I was a photographer in those times, I would have had a photo to remember it by all these years…… This was actually the sole reason I returned to capture this very image. Although a sunset & captured years apart, this scene still revives memories from my glorious morning on Keadue Bay
