Description
View from Lough Salt Mountain, County Donegal, Ireland
A few weeks ago I scaled this difficult mountain with all my gear as fast as I could to finally reach the summit where I could capture this scene before the sun went down. I was totally exhausted but as you can see, at the top I was greeted with some of the finest views in the country for miles all around.Downings, Rosguill Peninsula & Muckish can be seen in the far distance. This was my first proper mountain climb & im proud I made the effort to get this image..
Standing here looking north miles into the distance along the Wild Atlantic Way, I soon realised that I was actually overlooking the northern land’s end & the next stop was Iceland! seeing Ireland’s scale from so high up actually made me realise that we are all actually on a small island, right on the most western edge of Europe & next stop from there is the United States of America! Us Irish are certainly on the edge of things lol
