Description
Lugashanny, Mullaghmore Head, County Sligo, Ireland
On many trips along our coast, I’ve came across sea or beach foam caused by waves crashing off rocks and causing the oceans nutrients to churn into this white foam. You could sorta call it “Mother nature’s broth”
Most times I simply stroll past not giving it much thought. However, whilst setting up for this energetic wave’s scene, the sun dwindled low on the horizon and casted warm tones of amber which reflected and illuminated off everything. So instead of trying to ignore the white foam between the rocks I decided to recompose my camera to include this now amber toned foam in which the dim lit rays seemed to dance through. This simple show which I usually overlooked was now mesmerising to me Sometimes it’s all about the little things……
In the background you can see Classiebawn Castle standing proudly on a hill in the shadow of Benbulben, one of Ireland’s most iconic mountains. The initial architects and builders of 1874 sure chose the perfect spot to build a stunning castle. With commanding views over the all-powerful Atlantic ocean, that would mesmerise onlookers for centuries afterwards
