Description
White Park Bay, Ballintoy, North Antrim Coast, Northern Ireland
Normally cows prefer to graze at their leisure in fenced fields of green grass. However, the cows at White Park Bay prefer to just “hit the beach” instead when they feel like it! These cows must be the luckiest herd in the world! as they can simply free roam for miles along this beach & just do whatever they wish. Many tourists are shocked when visiting here to find a large herd of dairy cows just laying down sunbathing in the sand on warm sunny days ? ?
When they finish their day at the beach, they leisurely stroll onto the adjoining non-fenced grasslands that belong to their generous farmer. Around the world people have Free-range chickens etc but here in Ireland we specialise in happier Free-range cows ?
Many Folk from other countries travel to Ireland each year & visit all our tourist hot spots such as Giants Causeway, Cliffs of Moher or The Blarney Stone etc which is great. However its moments like this I believe you should be searching for on our shores. Just imagine how wonderful these visitors must have felt, strolling down this almost empty beach on a warm sunny day to be welcomed into the company of this friendly herd of beach cows for the remainder of their walk. These are the real moments no tourist hotspot could ever reproduce….
