Strabane, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland
As I’ve said on an earlier post, Autumn is here so I’ve been scouting the countryside capturing photos which signifies its recent arrival. The traditional brown leaves & woodland photos certainly depict Autumn in people’s minds, although I’ve been trying to steer away from those cliché scenes. Instead I’ve been out & about with my eyes peeled for some compositions that depict autumn on how I personally sense it. I hope that you also get this autumnal feel through my imagery
This stunning abandoned farm house has been on my radar for some time now. The sun was setting opposite which cast the most spectacular soft light, illuminating this red Ivy that has been slowly reclaiming this old homestead for years. You can see that this ivy was green all summer but has now changed colour to red for autumn. It has the most amazing colours I’ve yet seen on any vine plants & I love how it has completely grown over the front door. It must be years since any soul last walked through this doorway
