Have you ever gone to the shop for milk or bread but returned with something completely random? There are times during my photography outings, when I set out to capture a particular photo in which I had spent days pre-planning what I wished to capture…… Yet came home with a completely different photo from what I had visualised 
I remember planning this shoot days prior as it was during a large storm & I wanted to capture it around sunset time on Ireland’s western coast with giant crashing waves & lots of dramatism. On arrival the waves weren’t as expected & the scene didn’t look as I had hoped for. While returning to my car, I came face to face with this curious ram! He stood perfectly still staring at me & it looked like he was trying to strike a smile pose 
I didn’t want to leave the little fella hanging so raised my camera & captured this photo. Afterwards he said “Baaa.. Baaay…” & ran off into the sea grass all chuffed 
Sometimes you set out with something in mind yet return with the opposite, I find these the best kind of surprises……
