Description
The oddly named ‘Bloody Foreland’ derives from the way in which the setting sun shines & enhances the natural red of the granite cliffs in this region. This magnificent little hidden cove seems very different from any other seascape I’ve yet come across. There are steep cliffs surrounding it, no sand whatsoever only large round boulders & pebbles in their millions laying everywhere, looking almost like dinosaur eggs! What I adore so much about this little cove is it’s isolation & how natural it still remains even in today’s “concrete world”.
I sat here on the edge of this cliff for ages just pondering through stuff in my mind whilst admiring this stunning scenery around me. We are always in a hurry nowadays, we sometimes overlook & simply drive straight past these amazing locations without so much as a glance ? but trust me, next time slow down & take a few moments to experience what is virtually on your doorstep! There will be plenty of other times to stress out & worry about those irrelevant obstacles in your life. Bloody Forelands
