Description
Bloody Foreland Point, Gweedore, County Donegal, Ireland
The oddly named ‘Bloody Foreland’ derives from the way in which the setting sun shines & enhances the natural red of the granite cliffs in this region. This magnificent little hidden cove seems very different from any other seascape I’ve yet come across. There are steep cliffs surrounding it, no sand whatsoever only large round boulders & pebbles in their millions laying everywhere, looking almost like dinosaur eggs! What I adore so much about this little cove is it’s isolation & how natural it still remains even in today’s “concrete world”. Bloody Forelands
