However when travelling this side of the hill, the road rises altitude so vastly that once you suddenly approach its peak, you actually get the feeling you are going to take off into the sky! However instead of flying away, your eyes are graced with one of the most angelic views imaginable 
Beautifully towering over the western shore of Lough Swilly, this hilltop of Knockalla yields spectacular views over Ballymastocker Bay & Portsalon in the distance. This location has one of the most stunning views to be found throughout Ireland.
A few years ago, this beach was voted second place as the most beautiful beach in the world! Merely missing 1st place to a paradise island of the Seychelles. Not too shabby for a beach on the corner of Donegal
